CivilTraining, LLC Supports 411th Brigade,
U.S. Army Reserve

 

The 411th Engineering Brigade, U.S. Army Reserve based in New Windsor, New York, deployed to Afghanistan in April 2012 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. CivilTraining, LLC is proud to provide training, logistics and reach-back support for the men and women of the 411th.

Through 2011 and 2012, soldiers from the 411th participated in AutoCAD® Civil 3D® training with CivilTraining, LLC, a division of Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. (WSSI). In addition to the typical Civil 3D curriculum, this training included exercises unique to their mission and the integration of Civil 3D software with their Trimble survey equipment and the U.S. Army's Theater Construction Management System. CivilTraining, LLC also provided logistical support in the procurement, loading and preparation of ruggedized laptops on which Civil 3D will be used while the 411th is in country.

WSSI has also equipped the 411th with copies of SmartDraft® software, including PConnect, and the soldiers have received training on this software as well. A major portion of the 411th's mission while deployed includes survey, design, and construction of facilities of various types.

The CivilTraining, SmartDraft and WSSI families extend our thoughts and best wishes to the men and women of the 411th while deployed. May everyone return home safely and quickly.

The deployment of the 411th represents the second time CivilTraining, LLC and SmartDraft have assisted reserve units while deployed in the Gulf. CivilTraining provided training for the 201st Red Horse Squadron, U.S. Air Force Reserve, based at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania when they mobilized to Iraq, and the 201st Red Horse carried PConnect with them on that mission as well.
