A Graphic Description of WOTUS -
Wetlandia

The final version of the new definition of Waters of the U.S. (WOTUS) was published in the Federal Register on June 29, 2015 (Federal Register Vol. 80, No. 124). Since the final draft was made public on May 27, 2015 (see Field Notes Vol. 23, No. 4), people have been trying to explain what it means, causing much angst – so Wetland Studies and Solutions Inc. (WSSI) staff decided to try to graphically depict the amazingly complicated WOTUS definition.

The result is a poster that shows our new country - Wetlandia. Feel free to click on the picture below and print your very own copy to see graphically each element of §328.3 – the definition of WOTUS.
