Meet Our Instructors

 


CivilTraining, LLC's training programs are taught by certified instructors, who believe in creating an environment where students learn to challenge themselves and make effective decisions while learning and improving their skills. So, take just a minute, and meet John Cooke, Sabrina Pilon, and Chris Maeder.

John Cooke - Engineering Technology Coordinator
John Cooke joined Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. in the fall of 2009 after working as an independent consultant and AutoCAD® instructor for over twenty years. John presently operates the CivilTraining, LLC division of Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. (WSSI), and supports Engineering, GIS and Surveying technology efforts within the office and to clients nationwide. He has been continuously affiliated with Autodesk Civil/Survey applications since 1989, functioning initially in development and then in consulting and training roles. He has an extensive background in the development, implementation and training of Autodesk AEC Civil Engineering, Surveying, GIS and BIM solutions and has provided training to thousands of individuals nationwide, assisted numerous clients in implementing Civil software, CAD standards and practices, and provided project consulting to many clients in unusual or challenging project applications. Within WSSI, he participates in development efforts for Engineering and Survey automation, including the creation of custom software for stream restoration based on AutoCAD® Civil 3D®.

Sabrina Pilon, R.A.
Sabrina Pilon is a New York State registered architect, who joined Graphics Solution Providers Inc. in the spring of 2006 after working as an architect for architectural / engineering firms for over 16 years. Sabrina currently provides product support and instruction, as well as implementation services of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Architecture products. Prior to working for Graphics Solution Providers Inc., Sabrina worked as a lead architect providing her experience in all phases of the design process. She has developed programs, feasibility studies, and construction documents. Sabrina has coordinated projects and served as point of contact on projects dealing with multiple end users and has provided construction administration services (including site visits and shop drawing review). She has also developed estimates for client reference.

Chris E. Maeder, M.S., P.E., CFM
Chris is a renowned expert in water resource engineering, with over 25 years of application experience in hydrology and hydraulics modeling projects, including urban stormwater drainage, transportation and roadway drainage, storm sewer design, detention pond design, stormwater quality, green infrastructure, watershed management planning, sanitary sewers, and combined sewers. Chris has provided water resource training courses to numerous organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Canadian Water Resource Association (CWRA), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Districts, NRCS, State DOTs, State DNRs, engineering firms, and universities worldwide.
